Christmas 2009!!!

This Christmas was tricky trying to do both parents houses for Christmas, but we managed to handle it just fine. First we got up and went to Grandma & Grandpa Crosby's house for breakfast. No one wants a cold breakfast :) Then we hung out, talked and played for a while before deciding to go back to my dads to open presents. Dad surprised Luke with a Golden Retriever Puppy. She is so dang cute, but pee's everywhere. Marc LOVES it. He laughs every time as he watches my dad scramble to clean it up. Later that afternoon we went to my moms to open presents. It was SOO fun having Marc open all his presents & I LOVED mine. It was a perfect 1st Christmas for us. By the time we were all done 'house jumping' we were wiped out & ready for a nap. Now we are excited about getting out of this dang snow & going on a cruise!. San Diego here we come...

Shooting!.

We decided that while we were in Kanab it would be the perfect time to take our shot gun out shooting. Marc didn't get to go hunting for deer/coyote/wolves like he wanted to, but the shooting range was really fun. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Northern Utah

Our trip is on it's way!. We made it to northern Utah safely and had so much fun. We got to take Taylor & Matt to Bonzai for Taylor's 18th Birthday. . We got to see, have dinner and play games with our good friends Angie, Greg, Austin & Logan. LOVE them. We laughed all night long. Saturday Marc got all his shopping done and then got to hang out with Justin laying around watching football all day while Cort and I did some last minute shopping. It was exactly what he wanted! :) Then Sunday before we headed to Kanab we got to go to Breakfast with Forrest, Danielle, Cortney, Aaron and his cute girlfriend Lauren(?). I think our waiter was sick of us sitting around and talking so much, but we had a lot of fun catching up. We are down in Kanab now and loving it. It snowed baseballs yesterday. One minute it was just barely flickering and then before you know it was a white out! Kanab never gets that.... it was fun and it finally feels like Christmas.

We can't wait until Bryan, Sarah & Hunter get here. Also, we miss Dad & Luke. They went up north to see Taylor for his birthday, but will be back either tonight or tomorrow. If the snow doesn't melt by tomorrow we are going to try to head to out to the Sand Dunes to go sledding.

This vacation has been great so far and Christmas is only days away so it's bound to get better. I have been slacking in taking lots of pictures, but I will get it together!.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE. We love you all.

Thanksgiving 2009!.

Since we are going to Kanab for Christmas and a cruise right after, we decided it was out of our budget to go anywhere for Thanksgiving. We thought we would have a small little dinner here, but were so excited when Marc's family decided to come up here and join us. It was great to finally have them up. Thanksgiving went well relatively speaking... Emma was all over cooking the turkey so that took some pressure off, but somehow I managed to cut my finger the night before when making rolls... OuCh!. Also, I shattered a 9x13 glass pan into a thousand pieces!. I think I was in more shock than bummed about the pan. Turns out that the theory of hot glass going cold quickly is in fact true, if you were wondering! Anyways, everything else turned out great. We were all stuffed by the time we were done eating.

Friday after Thanksgiving we decide to go to Santa Cruz so Marc and Chris could go surfing & we could hit up the boardwalk. We first went to the Billabong store and Marc got a new wet suit for an early Christmas present. It is perfect so now he can manage being in the Cold Cold water! While the Marc and Chris surfed, the rest of us went down to Betty's Burgers and then watched them surf for a while. Then we headed over to the boardwalk. Although most the rides were closed down for the season a lot of the shops were still open so that was fun to wander around for a while.

Saturday we went to San Francisco. That was a blast. We went on the tour of Alcatraz. I have to say, if you have never been... it is SO worth it. First we walked around with a guide who told us all about the attempted escapes and then walked through the actual prison with the audio tour. It was insane. Here is a fun fact... did you know that even though the prison has been shut down for YEARS two of the men that were there are still in prison. I believe one was 79 and the other was 81 (could be wrong on the ages a bit), but they have spent there whole lives in prison. After our LONG ride back to shore we had lunch at Pier 39 and then headed over to Lombard Street. There were so many cars waiting. I think it would drive me CrAzY if I lived there. Then we decided to top off the night at The Golden Gate Bridge. Marc and I didn't do that last time we went to San Fran so I was stoked. I got butterflies when we were driving across it... The thought of an earthquake happening while we were on there was just way to much for me to handle, but we made it out alive!. We also got some pretty cool pictures on the opposite site facing the city.

All in all the weekend was a blast. Can't wait for Christmas now!!

100% STUD-A-LICIOUS!

THATS RIGHT!. MY HUSBAND IS A STUD MUFFIN. 100% ON HIS 1ST PALMER MIDTERM. TIME TO CELEBRATE. WAHOO!!!

FIRE ALARM!

So, Sunday morning Marc & I are sound asleep in our warm cozy bed (keep in mind Marc didn't go to bed until 3:30am) and all the sudden our fire alarm starts going off.... I woke up and nudged Marc asking him if it was the fire alarm and he just moaned & rolled back over. So I jumped out of bed walked out in our front room & sure enough it was. So I walked out side & the whole apartment complex was going off. The sound was SOOO loud. At the same time I walked out my neighbor walked out (who doesn't speak very much English) and she had pure panic on her face. She just kept saying to me TEST? TEST? No one knew if there was a real fire or if it was a test.... So I grabbed my phone to call our front desk. After it rang like 10 times & we were all outside of the apartments I realized no one was even at the front desk. It was 8am on a Sunday!. My neighbor kept saying call 911, call 911 hurry.. I have never called 911, but I was the only one w/ a phone!. So, I called 911... They asked for my name, address, phone number & what was going on. I told her that the fire alarm was going off to our whole complex & no one knew if it was a drill or fire, but that everyone was leaving there apartments to go to the curb. She asked me if I could see smoke & I said no, but I can't see all the apartments. (Our whole complex is covered with beautiful tree's, so it blocks your view of all the apartments) So she told me to tell everyone not to go back inside & to go out to the curb, that there was already a fire truck coming. So of course Marc & I ran back inside (against advice) to grab our valuables & then headed out to the curb w/ the rest of the complex. The fire truck arrived & was walking around doing all sorts of stuff and talking about Elevator #5. Then they asked who was in apt #2118, which was us!. So they asked us to come w/ them & open our apt of course we are thinking what the heck is going on? Well because the call came from us & they got our address they mixed up the paperwork somewhere & they thought the fire was in our apt, even though the alarm was pulled on elevator #5.. so he came in our apt & was like there is no fire here.... I'm thinking, DUH!. So then he asks where we saw the smoke... (I am thinking WOW, our fire department needs a little work because I told the lady at least twice I didn't see any smoke) So I told him again, we didn't see any smoke my neighbor asked me to call because no one knew if there was a fire or if it was a drill... He said okay, asked a few other questions and then left. Well, turns out someone got stuck on Elevator #5 and the call button wasn't working so they pulled the fire alarm to get someones attention. That was a CrAzY morning, but a story I will remember forever!. Here are some pics we took while we were out on the curb waiting!. PJ's and all...

First thing my mom said when I called her was "This is why I always tell you not to sleep naked. What if you weren't able to find clothes in time!." What good advice I never grasped until now! :)
