Chiropractic Praise!.

OK... I know I am going to butcher explaining this, but I will do my best.

This weekend Marc had signed up to do a seminar. Dr. Leonard J. Faye who wrote the book "Motion Palpation and Chiropractic Technic" was the one who was teaching the seminar. A little about Dr. L.J Faye is that he is a chiropractor down in West Los Angeles, CA and apparently has it going on. He is doing something right because he is incredibly busy at his practice, an amazing chiropractor, writes books, does seminars and is fully loaded. He practiced in England 15 for years, Canada for 11 and USA 22 years. He also was the first chiropractor to be appointed by the Canadian Track and Field Team for the Olympics in 1984. I am sure there is much much more, but without Marc here I don't have anymore details. I just know he is "the man" in the Chiropractic world.

Anyways, so he came into town on Friday. Marc was lucky enough to go golfing with him and the president of the Motion Palpation club (at there school.) Marc isn't a golfer, but couldn't pass the opportunity to spend the quality time with L.J. Faye so he went!. He said it was amazing. He got so many great tips and had such a good time. That night they went out for pizza and drinks and that was just he icing on the cake. What a great experience for my hubs to have this opportunity.

Saturday and Sunday they had the seminar. He said he learned so much and was so glad he was able to go. They had a book signing on the last day and apparently everyone else at the seminar just got L.J. Faye's signature, but he wrote a small note to Marc. This is what it read:

"Marc, I enjoyed your company and getting the feeling you will be a great doctor. L.J. Faye DC"

SOOOOO cool huh? What an honor to get that from such a well known Chiropractor.

Since Marc got back to school on Monday, they made him one of the 4 Motion Palpation leader guys. (I know they are not called "leader guys", but I don't know the exact name.) Anyways, he is only in Quarter 4 and got picked over people who are in much higher quarters than him (9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, & 13th.)

I am so proud of him & all that he is accomplishing. He is working SO hard and deserves everything that is coming to him!.

Quarter 4: Done for a while.....

OK, I have done about 5 or 6 posts today telling all about our adventures over the last few weeks and this is hopefully my last for a little while. I am ready for a vacation from our vacation. :) We are back to reality and jumping straight into 4th Quarter! Here is my excited hubby on Day 1 of Quarter 4.

Havasupai Falls!.

If you have never been to Havasupai Falls before, you HAVE to go. It is amazing. If you have been there before, I suggest you go again soon. It has changed SO much since the 2008 flood. It almost doesn't look like the same place. Anyways, our trip was amazing. On our drive in we saw the BIGGEST elk I have ever seen in my life. The last hour of the trip my eyes were dried out trying to look for deer before we hit them. We sure did get a workout hiking 30+ miles in 4 days, but it was so worth it and we took it easy the last day to get our bodies ready for the hike out. With all the times we have been down there, we had never been to Beaver Falls before so this time we went. We got lost on the way there and it took us aprox. 4 hours to get there. OH MY GOODNESS. By the time we got there all I wanted to do was lay in the shade and sleep (108` weather) There were some fun cliff jumps, but the highlight of the trip was probably the underwater cave. It only took us an hour to get back, guess we finally found the right trail!. Mooney Falls has a bunch of sand bags trying to re-build the fall over by the rope swing, but the 200ft waterfall and mist is still strong as ever. Havasupai Falls is about 1/2 the width it used to be & we didn't try to climb behind it because of all the people who have died lately in the underwater current, but there are some new fun cliff jumping places we found. Navajo Falls is gone, but there is a new fall that is GrEaT for cliff jumping. You can also go up behind the waterfall which I though was really fun. The last night there was insane. My dad got bit by a scorpion and then Marc and I found one on our tent. The scorpion stung my dad's middle finger, he screamed profanity that a spider bit him and we all scattered as he started sucking venom out. Then we found the scorpion, it had fallen into the bag. We found a guy who was a scorpion expert who gave us details on how to handle it. Then we drugged my dad with benadryl. When I saw the 2nd scorpion on our tent Marc was in it with me so my dad tried to catch it in a cup. Since he was drugged he was laughing & jumpy. He put the cup over it, the scorpion started jumping my dad jumped, dropped the cup & the scorpion ran free. Never found again. Freakin' idiot! :) My dad fell right asleep because of the benadryl, I however slept with a flashlight on my chest doing perimeter checks all night. Now my dad has a big blister on his finger now, but all in all he is fine. He will also try to say that is not what happened when he dropped the scorpion to try and save his man card, but 5 witnesses will testify that this is the true story. The hike out went REALLY quick I thought, but the switchbacks are always a challenge. I love the picture of Marc just laying on the ground at the top of the switchbacks. He was dead. 4th of July!.

This was Marc's first 4th of July in Kanab. We had SO much fun!! We did the whole schpill... The Parade, The Park, The Booths, Aunt Lyn & Uncle Curts for dinner & home-aid Ice Cream, then Fireworks!. It was a crazy day with everything, but SO much fun. I am especially glad Bryan, Sarah, Hunter & Tarah were able to come down before they moved to Texas. We already miss them, but we will miss them even more having them further away. We do wish them the best though as they venture onto Law School!

Eclipse!.

Well, as most of you know or have gathered from our recent posts Marc and I were in Kanab for a week. I have never been huge into the Twilight books, but I did finally read the 3rd book so I was anxious to see the movie. We had planned to go to St. George Friday to see it, but Kanab pulled through. Good old Paul Roundy made Kanab History and had a midnight screening and still only charged FIVE dollars. My hubs was such a good sport to take me to it. Naturally we wore our PJ's, but we didn't sleep for one minute because we LoVeD it. It hasn't even been 2 weeks and I want to see it again. Redbox can count on future business from us. :)

Cabin!.

Thursday night my dad decided it would be fun to go up to Grandma & Grandpa Crosby's cabin and have a pie-a-uh (I have NO clue how to spell it) We all worked that day so we had a late start getting there, then we realized we forgot the pan to cook it in. Luckily Michelle came to the rescue with a wannabe pan and we made do. It was so much fun to catch up with everyone. Can't wait to do it again sometime soon.

My Ump!

This week Luke had a baseball game. They were short an ump, so they asked Marc to step in. He did such a great job!!. Here are some fun pictures to prove how good he looks in uniform. hahaha!!
