We're Engaged!.

Well, It's official so clear your calendars for March 14, 2009!!

On Saturday December 6, 2009 Marc popped the question!.
It was so cute how he did it. He came to my house and picked me up to go to lunch. After we were done eating we drove up to this beautiful place in Midway, Utah. There were 2 white horses saddled and waiting. We hopped on and started of on the ride. We went over this bridge of water, out into this big beautiful field and around this big tree where Marc had build a castle with a gazebo behind it!. A CASTLE!!. Of course my horse was all buck wild and started trotting off in the other direction. After LOTS of screaming and laughing we finally got him back to the castle. :) We got off the horses, tied then up and started talking. He told me how he had an emblem that said "together forever" on the front of it. He also told me all sorts of lovey dovey stuff (we'll keep between us) and then pulled out the most beautiful ring EVER!. He went to get down on one knee and almost stepped into horse poop. haha!. So I laughed, stopped him and had him move to a "clean" spot. He got down and told me some more stuff and asked me to marry him! Of course I said yes! (with a HUGE smile) Then we had his friend Dan come take some pictures for us. After we were done, we went on a horse ride through this river and up a mountain. The sun was setting and it was starting to get cold when we decided to head back into town. That night we went to a movie with some friends and Sunday we had a big dinner with our close friends and family! It was so nice of everyone to come and celebrate with us. We are SO excited!!

Our First Trip Together to San Diego!.

This weekend Marc and I went to his parents house!. It was such a fun weekend. We left on our long drive Wednesday night at 5:00. About 3:00am is when we finally arrived. Thursday morning we went to Del Mar and went surfing. I had never been before, but Marc is a pro so he was teaching me the ways!. Marc had told me that at that same place a few years back he had gotten stung by a sting ray and how bad it hurt, so after I heard that traumatizing story I wasn't about to put my feet on the ground. Without touching the ground and wiped out over and over you tend to get tired!! I felt like I was drowning in waste high water. ha ha! :) That night we went to dinner at Claim Jumper with his mom, dad and brother. That was really nice and fun!. Friday morning we went surfing at (Encinitas I think) I was so excited cause I totally got up that day!! Given it was only for a few seconds, but I still did it!. After we were done surfing, we went to the San Diego Temple. It was SOOOO beautiful!. We BBQ'd that night and met up with some friends to watch a scary movie! Saturday we went surfing again and then that night of course watched the fights!. Sunday we went to church, packed our bags, went to lunch with some friends and headed on our 10 hour journey back to Orem!. We made a few pit stops at the worlds largest thermometer and stopped in St. George to meet up with my mom and brother for dinner. I can't wait to go again!

Kaisi's 23rd Birthday!.

Well... I'm officially 23! It was such a great day... I got so many surprises and gifts from everyone. The flowers Marc brought me to my work were amazing and I use my heated blanket almost everyday! We have watched Baby Mama a countless number of times. By the time I was off of work I was kinda birthday'd out because of the surprise party we had thrown for Cort the night before, but its tradish to go to Tempanyaki for dinner so of course we went and as always, it was AmAzInG!. After dinner I was telling everyone how bad I wanted to go bowling, everyone in the car was like "no" I was totally bummed and I remember thinking **freak, its my birthday and no one even wants to bowl one game** So we just drove straight back to the house. I walked in the house and BAM got hit with 10 cans of silly string! Turns out Cortney had been planning a surprise party for me too!! ha ha. We have such good friends to come two nights in a row to surprise us!. Then we hit up the bowling alley where I scored a 141 earning me a 3o minute massage!! It turned out to be such a great day!.

Cortney's 21st SuPrIsE Birthday Party!.

If any one knows Cortney, you would know her favorite number is #21. In fact she is a little obsessed.. so with her turning 21, we needed to do something spectacular!! I decided to rent out Classic Skating and through a HUGE surprise birthday party. We had the most amazing turn out and everyone was SO willing to help with everything. The surprise was almost shot the night of the party when Cortney all the sudden decided she didn't want to go to class!! We had told everyone they had to wear something with the #21 on it and our plan was to make our shirts while she was gone. Somehow we got her out of the house for about 30 minutes and when she got home and saw spray paint all over the porch, we blamed it on the guys across the hall... ha ha! We even had a cake with her picture on it, which turned out amazing!!. There was over 70 people that showed up.. She was soooo surprised, which made it SO fun!.

Miracle Bowl!.

A night of bowling at Miracle Bowl!. That was a fun night... Cort and I went bowling twice in the same week playing a total of 5 games! The first time we went there was a big ol group of us. We played 3 games and vowed not go again for at least another week.... then Stoner came up and wanted go on Friday. We finally gave in and i'm glad we did because we had alot of fun. I had burnt my hand a week before really badly and had 3 giant blisters on my 3 right fingers so I looked like a dork trying to throw the ball, but I bowled the best score I have ever gotten. I can't wait to go again!!

Charado!!

Our first Sunday at the Village! We are so lucky to have gotten such good roommates! After a long fun day of Desperate Housewives we had a good old fashion Sunday Dinner!. You can't have one of those meals without a Sunday nap. Around 11:00 we decided to play a good old fashion game of Charado!! Of course nothing in life is easy and our play dough was no good anymore.. so we decided to make our own play dough. By the 3rd batch we finally had the recipe for success!! :) It was a long very fun game, but so worth the big "W" Go Blue Team!.

The Windy City!!.

We went to Chicago for our annual Orgill hardware convention (which for us means free bee's and vacation) It was such an awesome trip. We arrived there Wednesday night around 11:30pm and went straight to the hotel. We must have arrived at a good time because the front desk upgraded us to an executive suite!!! Of course when Cortney and I found out they had robes in the room we couldn't resist taking camera picks and forwarding them to the fam! Thursday we spent part of the day at the convention and then headed to the Chicago River to catch boat ride. It was really cool and we learned TONS about Chicago. When it started getting dark the spiders started coming out (if you didn't know Chicago has spiders everywhere at night time) and we were ready to get off the boat that was being taken over!! We headed over to Gibson's for dinner. By the time we got back to the hotel, dad crashed and Cort and I stayed up for a good old show (Baby Mama!) so funny!!. Friday we hit up Navy Pier. If you ever go to Chicago you HAVE to go. It it just the coolest place ever! We walked everywhere in Chicago to save on Taxi money, but this night we decided to get a bike taxi! That was an experience!! After a lot of laughing and peddling we were back at the hotel. Of course Cort and I stayed up laughing all night again while dad crashed out early!. Saturday they show was over and we packed up all our free-bee's. We headed to our favorite restaurant(Charlie Burke's Primehouse!) If you ever go, don't forget to order fish on a rock. (lol) By the time we were done with dinner we had to go to the famous Sears Tower!! After our journey to the top of the 2nd highest tower in the world we all crashed pretty early that night!! It was a GREAT trip!

Three Lakes!.

We went to Three Lakes this weekend. It was so fun. We drove down Thursday.. The first night there we found a HUGE spider and it totally freaked us out!! So instead of sleeping in the "big room" we carried all the mattresses in the house up onto the roof!. The next day we went into town and got some food for the weekend (pbj's, tinfoil dinners, cereal.) Then we went back and played at the Lake all day!. That night up on the roof it started to rain, but before we could all get up and get all out stuff it stopped.. It did that about 3 times before it was 6am and we all decided to just get out of bed and get the day started!. We had another fabulous day at Three Lakes.. blowing stuff up, playing games, swimming, making "new" rope swings, and of course going off the zip line (which I'm proud to say, I finally did for the first time in my Three Lakes history.) Sunday after church we packed up, cleaned up, and headed home. It was a great trip.. Thank you again Annie, Steven, and Chris!. We can't wait to go again!.

Lake Powell.

Well, Thursday night we decided to do a splurge trip to Lake Powell. Taylor was at EFY in Ephriem and needed to be picked up at 7:00 am Saturday morning. I left Draper around 5:30 am, picked Tay up and headed to meet the rest of the family (minus Cort) in Kanab. We ended up getting to Powell around noon. It was a perfect day... sunny and warm!. We decided to go to Rainbow Bridge. It's an all day drive there, but completly worth it every now and then!. We had lunch on the boat, then headed back to do some fishing around the dam. We ended up getting back to the dock just at dark and back to Kanab around 12:30am! It was a long, but very fun day!. Thanks for taking us out mom and dad! Love you!.

4th of July!.

The 4th of July in Kanab. Well... anyone who had been to Kanab for 4th of July would understand I don't need to say anymore, but i'll explain a little more for those of you who haven't. :) The day always starts of with the Parade down main street!. It's not like any parade you have ever been to.. It's the best!. The funnest part for our family was the Fire Engine's. Bryan and Cortney have been doing fire's for the Kiabab and always soak every family member they can w/ the hose!. My mom and I have become smart over the years and remembered our umbrellas, Although my dad got soaked!. Then we decided to head up to the festivities at Jacob Hamblin park. They always have fun games for the kids (cake walks, fishin', and a brand new city pool) I can't forget to mention the mouth watering Navajo Taco's the booster club whips up every year. After the park we headed up to Three Lakes for a quick dip in the lake (since it was so hot.) After we got home showered and back up to the park just in time for glow sticks, laughing and fireworks!. Of course it was to early to hit the sack so we decided to have one of our famous Kanab bon fires. It was a great day.

Las Vegas!.

Las Vegas was SO much fun!. There were 7 of us all returning cars for Rugged. We stayed the first night at a Trendwest timeshare and stayed by the pool the entire next day!. After we checked into the Tuscany (which I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay there btw) we decided to go to the Flamingo Seafood Buffet!. We split up after dinner and did a little gambling. :) I am still a little bitter at the Circus Circus for taking my money!. Of course we had to go to the Billagio for the water show... Around 1 in the morning we headed back to the hotel, where lucky Jake, Jon and I got to sleep on the floor!. (really don't ever stay at The Tuscany.) Before I knew it the trip was over and we were headed back home. Thanks again for all your help guys, it was a great trip!!

Go Jazz!.

You have to love those good old fashion Jazz Playoff games!. My dad and little brothers came all the way up from Kanab!. We met at Rugged where I had there "home made" shirts ready and waiting!. Once we finally made it to The Delta Center Luke and I got matching Korver jerseys!. (we had to, we have wanted them forever!.) :) Anyways, we finally made it to our seats right before David Archuletta came out to sing the National Anthem!. The game was intense and came right down to the last few minutes!. Jazz won of course!. After the game when we were walking out the Jazz players started leaving the parking lot right in front of us. It was really cool to see all there cars they drive and of course Kyle Korver being the great guy he is stopped for autographs!. Before the boys headed back to Kanab we stopped for dinner at the famous Applebees!. Nothing is better than those Jazz playoff games!. Thanks for taking us dad!. Love you!!

The Coolest Road Trip Ever!.

Well, I have been on a lot of road trips in my day and I have to admit this is definitely top 3. Everyone was leaving for the summer and we decided we should do a road trip before we got split!. We drove down in 4 different cars, 2 people to a car!. We stopped at the prettiest lake in Bryce Canyon.. We played around for an hour or so doing things like king of the log, skipping rocks, and playing rock baseball. After Bryce we went to the Cabin. We had to break in of course, good thing we had those APEX guys with us! :) At the cabin we cooked some delicious Tin foil dinners and smores. Then we all sat around laughing and having a good time (I think we even cauterized Chris's cut.) We eventually all dozed off not long before our 5:00am alarm went off! We packed up and headed for Zions to do our hike!. We were there so early that we didn't even have to pay to get in. **score** It was a little chilly at first, but turned out to be a great morning at Zions. Chris's mom was making us lunch in Kanab at 1:00 so we had to hurry back. We spent the rest of the day there doing all sorts of crazy fun stuff, but my favorite was when Kyle taught Chris B. how to shoot. All in all, it was a great trip!.

The "Y"

Well, It was a late Saturday night and we decided to hike to the "Y". It was A LOT different than I expected. The hike up is long and windy. I'm not sure I could have made it to the top without Cort pushing me! :) There is check points at almost every curve. Once you get to the "Y" you would be shocked at how large it is!. It was very windy, but the sight was beautiful!. There were quite a few of us and we had a lot of laughs! If you want a rush, lay upside down!. It is defiantly exciting!. If you have never hiked to the "Y" before, it is defiantly something you should do at least once, especially if you live in Utah... even if you are a Utah Fan! :)

The Creepy Zoo!.

We found the strangest Zoo!. If you ever drive through Orem, UT take a look on your right hand side of the freeway right before University Parkway. What you see you will never believe. There are all sorts of strange animals there!. Buffalo's, ostriches, antelope... all sorts of strange Australian animals!. I have driven by it a million times and had never noticed it. It is creepy, weird, and pretty much awesome!. It was a great discovery. Cortney, Truett and I had a lot of laughs, fun, and of course pictures!.
